Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom is full of energetic, curious, and enthusiastic preschoolers, ages 4 and 5. Each day, they enter our room ready to learn, explore, and play. Many come from diverse backgrounds, and, for some, our classroom is their first structured learning experience.
I strive to create a nurturing environment where each child feels safe, supported, and excited to grow.
Play is how young children learn best. Our Toys and Games Center is a hub of activity where students engage in cooperative games, practice problem-solving, and stretch their imaginations. Unfortunately, many of our toys are outdated, missing pieces, or no longer developmentally appropriate.
With your help, I hope to refresh our Toys and Games Center with engaging, educational toys that promote creativity, fine motor development, and social-emotional learning. These materials will support language development, self-regulation, and critical thinking—all through play! We are in need of building toys, pretend play sets, puzzles, matching games, and fine motor toys.
When children play, they’re learning how to take turns, express emotions, solve problems, and build relationships. These foundational skills set the stage for academic success and lifelong learning. With your help, we can create a vibrant, inviting play space that encourages every child to shine.
