Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Dramatic play is an important part of our day. My students love this center but we need a table and chairs for them to set the table, practice table manners and communicate around a table.
Students learn many social skills while playing in the kitchen center.
After COVID-19, I feel our students need this time to role play and have social interaction with their classmates. The pretend appliances and baking set will add to their excitement of their kitchen center. During free play we always have calming music playing and a Bluetooth speaker would help make this possible in my classroom. This project will help to provide my students with the opportunity to further their social-emotional and cognitive development.
