Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach a third grade bilingual class, which is in dire need of more exercise. Like most schools, we have had to cut back on our physical education classes, and we classroom teachers have to make sure our students get physical activity every day.

Our students, like students nationwide, do not get nearly enough activity to stay healthy. Unfortunately, our classroom cannot afford to buy playground equipment every year, and these items tend to get lost or worn out.

My students love to jump rope and play soccer, and I enjoy teaching them how to shoot baskets and play basketball, but we do not have the resources to do this nearly enough.

Your donation will make it possible for my students to have equipment to truly enjoy physical activity and help them stay healthy and fit.
