Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items we are requesting, such as recreational materials, games, and interactive tools, will provide our special education students with essential resources to engage in social, collaborative activities. These resources will create a safe, structured environment where students can practice communication skills, learn how to share, and build meaningful friendships. By interacting with their peers in this supportive space, they will develop critical social skills that will benefit them both in school and in their daily lives. Additionally, we need winter clothing for some students who lack the necessary resources for the colder months.
In this project, our primary goal is to integrate students, keeping them away from bullying, and equipping them with strategies to effectively handle such situations.
We will also organize activities and workshops to help them develop emotional resilience and social skills, empowering them to face challenges confidently in both their school and social environments. This initiative will provide a unique opportunity for our students to thrive in an inclusive, supportive atmosphere.
