My Project

Play helps children improve their language, vocabulary, imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional being. Play is what helps young children engage and interact with the world around them. Play for children with a variety of needs also enhances their sensory experiences. This time in their day also provides them with the ability to build connections in the brain, and connections with others, and serves as a firework to everything they do in their lives. Play is a foundation for early childhood development. It helps build self-worth, giving them a sense of their own ability to be whatever they want to be. Providing the items on this list will help my students in the most important aspect of their development as they are navigating their first experiences at school and help me show them that they can truly be whatever they want to be.
