My Project
My students love to learn math... but learning addition, subtraction, sorting, and numbers to 100 can be very tricky! These math games will provide fun ways to explore numbers with hands-on fun and body movement. I will provide centers that will focus on exciting learning strategies to build number sense and tactile practice.
I want to provide as many reinforcement opportunities that I can by offering mathematical integration with play based learning for daily practice that is fun.
I will be using the organizer drawers for our math manipulatives that we use for 1 to 1 counting, addition, subtraction, sorting, and shapes. The envelopes will be for take home homework folders to work on mathematical concepts with their families.
I will use the C.D. player for a math stories center where students can listen to math songs and number recognition as some students are still working on basic number skills and repetition. Finally, the handwriting magnetic boards will be used for fine motor skills in forming letters as we focus on proper writing skills in all subjects.
