Our kindergarten curriculum is play-based. Our Pretend-play Center is a favorite center choice in my classroom. We rotate through monthly and seasonal themes for our centers.
Having this fresh market / grocery store in our pretend play center will provide a way to keep our activities new and engaging with every theme.
We will incorporate our weekly academic learning goals while we play with our friends at the “general store,” “produce market,” or “hospital food court.” It is said that play is the work of childhood. Watching my students “working” makes me believe that. Please help us to provide our play-based learners with a store that we will transform into new ways to learn.
