This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The purpose of this project is to support play-based learning in my kindergarten classroom. Research supports play in the classroom for the cognitive, communicative, and social-emotional benefits. I have also noticed that when students play as they learn, they bloom as problem-solvers.

The materials I have curated for this project will take my students' play-based learning to the next level.

The blocks will allow students to use their creativity to create new things everyday! The doctor and dentist set will allow students to demonstrate their knowledge and engage in dramatic play!

I've already seen the immense benefits of incorporating play in my classroom. I am so excited to enhance my students' learning experiences with the materials in this project!
