My Students
If you have ever spent a day with a group of kindergartners, you will learn just how amazing they are. My students are curious, creative and are a unique group of people who want to learn as much as they can about the world around them. They have a huge passion for both learning and teaching others.
My students have an amazing sense of imagination and want to use that imagination in the classroom while learning.
They love learning through play as they learn new skills to use in and out of the classroom. They are a group of kids who are motivated to work together to help each other reach their goals. In addition, they are also a wonderful group of learners who enjoy hands-on learning.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will encourage play-based learning in the classroom. By using puppets, toy families, food and dishes my students will be able to learn through story telling, and imaginative play. They will be able to use these tools to role play as well as use the tools as props for retelling stories.
Play-based learning is engaging and allows students to not only learn, but develop social skills as well.
Using the Magna-tiles, kinetic sand and marble run, my students will be able to work collaboratively and use problem-solving skills to create and learn together. They will have opportunities to practice sharing, work on fine motor skills and utilize creativity all while working towards a common goal together.
