Play Ball Outdoor Sports Equipment

Help me give my students sports equipment to optimize recess time. The net is a large portion of the total cost, but it will be used for tennis, volleyball, and badminton. Students need a variety of sports equipment.

My Project

We need sports equipment to have students engaging in physical activity during recess. Most of our student population is very low-income, and those students can't afford to participate in team sports outside of school. I believe every student deserves that exposure. Who knows, they be the next Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Willie Mays, Serena Williams, Tiger Woods, Mia Hamm, or Kerri Walsh Jennings. Whether it's basketball, football, baseball, tennis, golf, soccer, volleyball or just a fun game of kickball, every child should have the opportunity to try a new sport.

When students are playing sports, they're staying healthy, learning teamwork, perseverance, self-discipline, developing a strong work ethic, establishing friendships, improving communication, practicing patience, building resilience, boosting their self-esteem, solving problems, learning leadership skills, and research shows that many student athletes perform better academically.

Every student at PES will have access to these materials during their recess time, so no child is excluded.
