This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 8th grade students love conducting science labs. In my state, 8th graders take a state assessment in Science. Due to financial restraints, I haven't been able to conduct as many labs as I would like this year. My students will conduct 3 labs with this project. The students will make edible plate tectonics using frosting, wax paper, and frosting. Students will do two different labs studying air and Ocean Currents. Labs help my students connect the knowledge gained from our textbooks and videos. I know that they will be extremely excited to do these labs.
