This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When it comes to teaching effectively, small actions can make a big difference. For me, one of those actions is giving each student a folder at the start of the school year. It might seem like a small thing, but it helps them stay organized and teaches them respect and responsibility.
The main goal is to help students keep all their school stuff in one place—worksheets, assignments, you name it.
This way, they can track their progress and find what they need quickly.
But it's about more than just keeping things tidy. Giving out folders shows students the value of their school materials. They learn to take care of what they have and appreciate the support they get.
So, while handing out folders might not seem like a big deal, it sets the tone for my students' learning journey. With simple gestures like this, we're laying the foundation for their future success, building habits, and values that will stick with them long after they leave my class.
