My students need to see real living plants and animals as well as microscope slides.

My Students

All my students live in a city and many of them have never hiked in the woods. Since it is very difficult to take the students to these places why not bring the plants and animals to the students? Having living plants and animals in the class will help enhance the life science curriculum.

The students in my class live in a city which makes it difficult to see local animals and plants.

They need the extra things to help motivate them and keep them interested in science. We need to keep our students interested and motivated in school.

My Project

The living plants will enhance the science room. It really benefits when you can pick up plants when your talking about plant structures. The living plants will add to the milk snake I will be adding to the class soon. Having microscope slides of plants, animals and algae will allow students to observe and study the structure of these living things. The students really enjoy using microscopes to learn about the structure of these living things.

The best way to teach students about science is to show them.

Having the resources to show students is a very difficult task. Having these materials will help provide an engaging hands-on science curriculum for my students.
