Planting the Seeds of Wonder Through Biology

Help me give my students a classroom microscope. I plan to use it to engage my students in our animal and plant science lessons and hopefully instill a sense of awe and wonder that will last a lifetime!

My Project

The students in my class are very curious, as are most six and seven-year-olds, and I want to keep that curiosity and sense of wonder alive in them for the rest of their lives. Thanks to YouTube, my students have had access to a library of videos on any topic they choose since they were born.

But few of them have experienced the joy of seeing any of the amazing things they watch online happen right before their eyes, something that they could touch, manipulate, and know was real!

I am hopeful that a classroom microscope will give them the opportunity to learn about the incredible world of life that is happening right before our very eyes every day.
