My Project

Portola is thrilled to embark on a journey that will sow the seeds of growth and learning for our scholars. To continue Dr. Krotz's work of creating a vibrant and educational school garden, that will not only enrich their minds but also foster a deep appreciation for nature and sustainable living, supplies are needed.

Picture this: a vibrant, flourishing garden right in the heart of our school - A magical oasis where our young students will unleash their creativity, ignite their curiosity, and embrace the wonders of nature!

To make this dream garden come to life, we seek your generous support in the form of essential gardening materials that will empower our students to explore, learn, and enjoy the wonders of gardening. With your help, we can equip them with the necessary tools to embark on this green adventure.

Shovels: To prepare the soil and create planting beds for various fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Rakes: For maintaining neat garden paths and raking fallen leaves for composting.

Gloves: To ensure our students' hands stay protected while they immerse themselves in gardening activities.

Gardening Tool Sets: Comprehensive tool sets that include a trowel, transplanter, and a cultivator to help students care for the plants.

Clipboards: Enabling our young gardeners to document their observations and engage in fun learning activities within the garden.

Popsicle Sticks: These will be used for labeling the different plant species, promoting botanical knowledge and organizational skills.

Classroom items to benefit Mrs. Kury-Phelan: classroom rug, "Stamped", hooks, magnetic rod, organizing drawer, erasers, nametags, and tree for calming corner.
