Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I absolutely love my students for their curiosity, enthusiasm, and eagerness to explore the world around them. They come to school each day with open minds and a deep sense of wonder. As their teacher, I have the honor of guiding them through their learning journey, and one of the most rewarding experiences is watching them develop hands-on skills and confidence as they discover new things.
The resources I am requesting—soil, planters, yard tools like shovels, and garden decorations—will allow my students to create and maintain a vibrant school garden.
This project will not only teach them about gardening but will also integrate lessons in science, responsibility, teamwork, and creativity. By using the shovels and other tools, they will learn about plant growth, ecosystems, and the importance of caring for the environment. The planters and soil will provide a space for them to put their knowledge into practice, while the decorations will give them the chance to express their creativity and take ownership of the garden space.
