This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

How fun is it to explore science through a worksheet? My students need hands on activities to enhance their understanding of science, math, and language arts.

My students come from a highly impacted environment.

There are four different home languages represented in my classroom this school year. These students have had little opportunity to explore their environment. The hands on activities will help support their understanding of new concepts that will be taught this school year.

My Project

Research shows that the larger a students' vocabulary, the better a reader they will become. Our school district has adopted an Oral Language Block in kindergarten. This time is set aside in the school day for students to learn and use new vocabulary as well as practice speaking in English. The activities purchased with this donation will enhance their Oral Language Block experience.

My students' learning environment will be enhanced through this donation.

They will be able to explore science concepts, have a better alphabetic knowledge, and an increased vocabulary through using the donated items.
