This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm requesting double-sided write and wipe boards which are a great tool to help my students learn place value skills! Each board has space to illustrate place values to the hundreds on one side and a chart on the other so they can visually represent each number in a problem. They will regroup to work out the answer.

My students will develop skills in addition and subtraction within 1,000, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value.

My students will be able to understand place value which is very difficult to grasp without using visuals.
