My Project

Our amazing science teacher does a phenomenal job of finding grant monies for pretty much every aspect of our place-based science curriculum. Unfortunately, there are some items we need to replace, but we do not have the grant funding available for these items.

We believe the most meaningful science learning happens when students can explore the world around them in a hands-on, engaging way.

With the items on our list, students will be able to:

-Understand geography, earth science, and spatial thinking as they explore the planet and its systems using globes.

-Learn about navigation, orientation, and magnetic fields through outdoor exploration and map-reading activities using compasses

-Observe local wildlife and study animal behavior in a non-intrusive way, supporting investigations in ecology and environmental science with the help of the trail cameras and SD cards

-Record observations, hypotheses, and data during fieldwork and experiments, promoting active participation and scientific communication using the clipboards and dry-erase markers.
