Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school has a lunchtime program focusing on the Power of Play, with the goals of promoting friendships while keeping students busy in a positive activity. This program attracts students from a variety of social and educational backgrounds, including students with special needs. Lunchtime play helps to increase school connectedness while decreasing the undesirable behaviors that can occur when students are bored. Our students love participating in daily lunchtime play, and we are always looking for fresh, new activities to keep them engaged.
We are requesting Pix Brix, which are STEAM toys that can reinforce creativity and engineering concepts while also promoting fine motor skills for all students.
These bricks are unique, and we know that the majority of our students have never played with them before. These bricks will be used for years to come, and we appreciate your support!
