This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students like to have fun making music! Way too often, valuable fun rehearsal time is wasted on the boring and tedious (yet essential!) going down the row, one by one - checking each student's intonation myself (or worse - ignoring it) - when the process could be expedited by teaching them how to do it themselves daily.
The time saved by using this technology in the classroom will allow students to focus more on the fun parts of music learning and have them sounding better while doing it.
The use of clip-on pickups will allow each student to tune their instrument at the same time by zoning in on only the sound produced by their instrument. This will cut the time it takes tune down exponentially and give them more time to make lasting music-making memories with their band family.
