This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We will be encouraging students to create their own personal badges of positivity on paper. Once they have created and colored something positive, we will then use that design to create pins/buttons. These pins/buttons can be worn on clothes, backpacks, fanny packs or even hats. Students will be passing on positivity by displaying their own personally created message. In addition, students can earn more pins/buttons and trade them. It provides a chance for students to demonstrate creativity without feeling the stress of interpersonal communications among their peers. This project will build confidence through creativity, as well as emphasize the importance of spreading kindness within a generation of students who define their abilities by social trends and media.
