Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We come from a low-income area and within our physical education department we don’t have a gymnasium. We provide opportunities for all students to be successful in their learning with the limited resources that are accessible. Each student brings their own unique personalities and contribute to the class in a positive manner.
My Project
During afterschool, it is essential to provide students with productive activities. At our school, our after school ping pong club will give students the chance to be physical active during after school hours.
The new ping pong paddles will ensure every student has the chance to play and build upon being physically active outside of the classroom setting.
The idea is to help students improve their hand-eye coordination while providing a positive environment for them to interact with their peers after classes are over and the school day is finished.
