Picturing Pre-K

My students need a digital camera and a memory card to take pictures of us in our classroom and for class trips.

My Students

Our school has one digital camera to serve more than forty-five different classrooms from grades Pre-K to 8th.

There are 18 energetic three and four-year-old children in my class.

Our school includes students from Pre-K through eighth grade. It is in a high poverty area, and about 95% of the students in the school receive free lunch. Our school is in a low-income neighborhood, where budget cuts have left no hope that materials will be purchased in the near future.

My Project

The students in my class show a lot of pride in everything they do. A digital camera with Sims card would help us record a variety of events in our room. For example, we can take picture of a building they build in blocks or a puzzle they completed. By taking pictures of them at work and play we can revisit the work with the students or share their classroom life with their families. Many of the pictures will also be used to create a mini-yearbook for the students and parents to enjoy at the end of the year.

A donation towards my project will make taking pictures of my students whenever the moment sees fit.

It will be a wonderful way for me to record the school year for the students, parents, and me.
