I teach in an inner city high school in Minnesota. I teach biology and advanced placement biology. Many of my students receive free or reduced lunches (80%). We are a title-one school that serve a very diverse population. My students are wonderful and proud of their accomplishments.
I have been fortunate enough to receive donations to help in an ongoing science and art mission of mine and my students. I love to take pictures of their work and post these throughout the school and classroom. They LOVE to see their pictures of work in the building, it makes them feel proud. My issue is that I use a family members camera to take the hundreds of photos of my students work.
I am asking for a class camera, case and memory stick. These items will allow me to take pictures of my students working on their art filled science notebooks. I would also feel better about them using the camera as it would belong to the class.
With this donation you will complete my needs for art-filled science notebooks. My students are very hard working young people. They are proud of their work and love to show it off. Please donate so that I can purchase a class camera and return the camera I have been using to my family member.
