This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As I move into a new classroom and prepare to teach 3rd grade math, I want to create a space where students feel calm, confident, and proud of their work. An organized classroom makes a huge difference in how students engage with learning. With a shelving unit, storage bins, and a label maker, I’ll be able to set up clearly labeled areas for math tools, STEAM materials, and student supplies—helping students stay focused, responsible, and ready to learn.

The Polaroid camera will add a personal and joyful touch to our classroom.

It will allow me to instantly capture students’ moments of success—whether they’ve mastered a tricky math concept, worked hard on a project, or demonstrated kindness and teamwork. Students can take these photos home to show their families, strengthening the connection between school and home and giving them a tangible reminder of their growth and accomplishments.
