This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school services K-5 students in South Jamaica, Queens. We are currently in need of a traveling Promethean board to allow students to present to families and peers digitally when we are hosting assemblies, community meetings or even presenting to other teachers in a large space. The use of this board will give us the opportunity to move between different spaces, host Zoom events for families and even display a welcoming message in our entry way. Having the ability to display translation to families, provide visual supports and engage families with slideshows and digital presentations, will strengthen our family engagement and create a welcoming and affirming environment for our students and families.
