My Project
My high school students are creative, driven, and eager to showcase the pride and spirit of our school. They’re passionate about telling our school’s story, but they need the right tools to make every student’s moment shine. A select few of them contribute to the yearbook, newsletter, and social media, using writing and photography to highlight the events and people that make our community special. However, they currently lack the proper tools to take the kind of high-quality photos their work deserves.
With your help, our students can capture the moments that define high school - big wins, quiet triumphs, and everything in between.
I am requesting a Canon EOS R50 mirrorless camera, a carrying bag, and a memory card to equip our student media team with the tools they need to document our school year. From pep rallies and performances to senior nights, academic competitions, and everyday classroom moments, this camera will allow students to capture memories in crisp, professional detail. With reliable, high-quality equipment, they'll be empowered to tell our school’s story more creatively and effectively.
This camera will give students hands-on experience in photography and digital storytelling, building real-world skills they can use beyond high school. It will also ensure we preserve and share the full range of student experiences - from achievements and school spirit events to quiet classroom successes. Your support will help students feel seen, celebrated, and connected to the broader school community.
