This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students will discover the world of reading! Books are magical!
I have 24 students enrolled in my classroom.
This is a full day preschool program Monday to Friday. I have 14 boys and 10 girls. The group age of my students is 3 to 4 years old. They come from low-income families and the majority of my students are Hispanic.
My Project
The activity that I would be able to do is read-aloud. Reading aloud will help my students to acquire early language skills, and knowledge of printed letters and words. The relationship between sound and print. My students will also learn how books work, and a variety of writing styles.
This project is so important because my children will learn the pleasure of reading.
They will discover the world of reading through books. By reading books, my students will enrich their vocabulary.
