My Project

My middle schoolers are becoming young adults; but, they still have the innocence and enthusiasm of elementary students. They love picture books; listening to them, reading them, looking at the illustrations, and checking them out from the library.

I would like to add these updated, exciting, and diverse picture books to our library to keep this enthusiasm going.

These books are representative of our diverse school population to provide mirrors and windows for my students. They are beautiful examples of language and stunning works of art. Some are laugh-out-loud funny while others are thought-provoking. All of them create opportunities for class discussion during read-aloud time and are often used by our language arts teachers to enhance writing lessons.
