This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Special Education Life skills students have worked extra hard this school year from learning how to write with correct spacing, add with visuals, identify upper and lower case letters, read their list of sight words and so much more! Many of my student are no able to express themselves verbally but are able to express themselves through art. I know they would really appreciate a chance to decorate their very own kite and to use brand new chalk to draw or trace with stencils.
I would really love to reward my students with a special End of the Year incentives to get them ready for a picnic of fun summer with bubbles, chalk art and kite flying!
I would love to provide my kiddos with a fun end of the year picnic/celebration where the students will be able to express their year through art while decorating their blank canvas, a kite. Many of my students have never flown a kite, so I would love to be able to help them decorate and learn how to fly one during our end of the year picnic.
