Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a lower socioeconomic group and we lack the funding needed to provide a quality fitness experience for all. They are full of energy, love to play and eager to learn new games and sports. All students range from Kindergarten to 5th grade and have a wide variety of interests.

My Project

Pickleball is a fun and engaging way for students to learn to work together as well as compete in a safe environment that teaches how to strike a ball with an object and follow rules of the game. It is also a sport that my students will be able to play for the rest of their lives to stay active and healthy. It will help them to gain confidence and skills that will serve them in many ways beyond the pickleball court.

These nets will facilitate learning and playing in Pickleball and many other games and activities from which my students will gain lifelong skills and abilites.
