My students come from a wide variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. Some come hungry for food, and some come hungry for knowledge. My students range from Kindergarten through 5th grade. We also serve special needs students in these grades. These students have a wide range of abilities as well as limitations. Our school is located in a neighborhood surrounded by houses.
My students are eager to learn new games and activities as well as improve their academic concepts through these activities.
They are excited to come to class, are very inquisitive and are always ready to try new things.
My Project
These materials and activities will enhance eye-hand coordination. With the Pickle-Ball Diller Set, students will get practice striking an object and playing together as a team to improve social skills. These materials also teach how to keep score and learn rules of an activity. Students will learn to put up the nets and how to properly handle the pickle ball racket before playing the activity. Once they have learned this, students will engage in an actual game in which they keep score and rotate around the court.
The great thing about these materials and the environment of my school is that these materials and activities can be played indoors and outdoors, weather permitting.
