My Students
Our school is located on the edge of the Salt Lake Valley. I teach first grade to a total of 22 first graders. We have an amazing community surrounding us, along with beautiful mountains and hills.
I have an amazing group of 1st graders!
They love to learn, and they are willing to go out of their comfort zones to succeed each and every day. These students have a variety of personalities, learning styles, and strengths. It is our goal to help each student accomplish goals and gain confidence throughout the school year.
My Project
The materials will make a world of difference for my students. First graders have little bodies that are full of wiggles. Sometimes, it is hard for them to focus because they have energy that they need to release. These flexible seating options will be able to help them get their wiggles out, and it will keep them engaged.

During our small group rotations, focusing and completing work is a hard task. With the addition to flexible seating, my students will be able to stay focused and commit to independent learning. Also, during that time technology is used to engage students. The headphones will help them not get distracted, and they will be able to learn so much!
