Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The products I have selected will reward my 7th graders' memorization skills. Learning about the irrational number pi brings out a lot of fun and competition amongst all students.
There's no language barrier with this pi digit competition.
All students get excited whether it be my diverse learners, second language learners or my high achieving students. My seventh graders deserve to be rewarded with these prizes and more. Students are given a set of pi digits to memorize. All students will receive a pi digit pencil. The top students to recite the most digits from every class, moves to the second round to compete. The top three finalists to memorize the most digits, receive a special t-shirt or necklace. Our school doesn't have enough funds to provide these luxuries for my Hispanic students who come from low-income households. Please help me give my students a memorable experience at school.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
