Help me give my students sports equipment such as tennis balls, soccer balls, footballs, and tug of war ropes so they can learn applications of speed, velocity, and Newton's Laws of motion.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I love the diversity of my students. Their uniqueness brightens my day and there is never a dull moment. I love the culture my students are building in the classroom. They are helpful with their peers, and they are learning student agency.
My students work hard and give it one hundred percent effort!

My Project
These materials will make a difference in our student's learning in a variety of ways. The sports equipment will help our Science teachers create engaging and meaningful lessons outside of the classroom. Students will learn how to calculate speed, velocity, acceleration, and Newton's Laws of Motion.
Learning is not bound to the classroom.
Learning happens when students are given the opportunity to learn through engaging activities, prompted with essential questions, and guided to reflect.
Tennis balls, soccer balls, footballs, or moon balls can be used to measure the distance. Timers to track the time; students will be able to calculate the speed of the object. Also, using the tug of war ropes students can experience balanced and unbalanced forces. These materials will have an impact on all our 8th-grade students.
