Help me give my students logic builder STEM puzzles, roadway construction magnetic tiles, balloon powered launchers and an informational text to help them explore the ideas of forces in motion and physics in construction.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Why do vehicles move? How do tall buildings stay standing? What is responsible for the movement of non-living objects?
Transitional kindergarteners have so many questions about the world they live in, and science is at the root of many of those questions--right now, while their curiosity is at a pique, is a perfect time to introduce them to ideas of physics and the science behind forces in motion.
Your donation to this project will give my students the book "Motion: Push Pull, Fast and Slow," which will help explain the science behind motion. It will also bring a variety of ballon launchers into the classroom that give students hands-on experiences with creating forces to make objects move.
Using the magnetic tiles and Logical road builder games, my students will have the opportunity to construct roadways and solve problems as they create their own tracks, experiment with different shapes and designs, and solve logic puzzles that challenge their brains.
I am grateful for your help to bring these learning tools into our classroom.
