Physical Fitness

Help me give my students this treadmill so that they can balance and walk better allowing them to participate with their friends in activities at recess giving them more social opportunities, and help them to get to class.

My Students

I work primarily with students with autism, and as a result a lot of them require additional help in day to day task including walking. The students are very full of life and energy and deserve to have the same resources as anyone else.

My Project

This will help the students get the groundwork to be able to complete the exercises that are sent home in the case of distance learning. Helping the kids balance, and walk better and faster will allow them to not only complete the assigned exercises, but also allow them more independence when doing day to day tasks at home.

Many of the students that I work with require additional support in keeping up with their peers or parents.

Some even require their parents to hold their hands to help them balance. This project is to help the students balance better so that they and their families can be more independent.
