My Students

This past year was very tough for the students here at Weatherly Middle School. Last year due to Covid-19 no one was able to partake in physical education in our district. All the students would ask me when they would be coming to the gym next. They missed physical education class a lot last year. My students are from a small community and really deserve the best.

That's why this year I want to make physical education classes extra special for them because they deserve it.

My students are always looking forward to my class where they can exercise and get their energy out. I enjoy the joy they get out of coming to my class and the smiles and excitement they display when we play one of their favorite games.

My Project

The kickball, sports games, tennis balls, and other materials will help enrich students' physical education experience. Providing students with new equipment will help me provide them with new units, and games they may not get to experience without the equipment. I would love to play the toss and catch with my students to work on their hand-eye coordination.

Our school is building tennis courts, and I would love to teach students the game of tennis!

Having enough tennis balls is essential with big class sizes like I have. Our school does not have a tennis team, so students do not have an opportunity to play the sport. I would love to introduce a new sport to them in my class!
