This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my first year teaching and I am so excited to be in my own classroom with such awesome 5th graders! My 5th graders are so happy to be in the classroom and very eager for some hands on activities once again! My students love collaborating with each other and thinking creatively. I keep an open communication policy with my parents and try to be accommodating to all their needs. Their support in the home helps our kiddos learn beyond the classroom. My goal as a new teacher is to learn from my students and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all my students. Coming from remote learning, my students are coming to the classroom with a different outlook on learning and with new skills. These fifth graders are very tech savvy and have helped me out numerous times with technical difficulties. They are eager to create, collaborate, learn, and get back to the real world. As am I!

My Project

These materials will allow my students to learn how to play many different outdoor games. My kids love playing sports however they are very limited as to what they can play and learn how to play. With this equipment my students will learn how to play sports like soccer, kickball, dodgeball, handball, and volleyball properly. This will also make our time during P.E more efficient and effective, not to mention this equipment will help keep my students healthy and happy! These various options will keep my students engaged throughout the year during P.E. I appreciate your help keeping my students healthy and engaged!
