Physical Distance Necessities

Help me give my students additional seating options for a learning experience that is effective and comprehensive, and allows them to physically distance themselves from others while at school.

My Students

For the 2020-2021 school year, I will have the pleasure of teaching groups of 6th graders in Language Arts, Literature, and Science. Additionally, I will be working with a group of English Language Learners across 6th, 7th, and 8th grades who are diligently working to increase their English reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

Transitioning into middle school as a 6th grader or as a student who's native language isn't English is difficult in a traditional year.

This year, my students will need more support than ever before. Regardless of our virtual start to the year, I hope to provide my students with a learning environment that is safe, warm, and conducive for effective teaching and learning for all.

My Project

My incoming 6th graders and multi-age English Language Learners are deserving of a classroom that is well-equipped to handle the switch to physically distanced learning.

There are necessary components of this new learning modality that I need help obtaining.

The population of my classes will benefit from a variety of seating options in addition to traditional modalities. These desks and chairs will allow me to successfully distance my students when we transition back to in-person teaching. I can't wait to show my students our learning space and get the year started on the right foot!
