Physical Differences Represented in Our Classroom!
Help me give my students materials to help build understanding for people with differing abilities and to build kindness. I have students in my class with differing physical needs and would like them to be represented.

My Students
I work at a public arts school in Minneapolis, Minnesota. My class is part of a program called high-5. Being a preK class in a public arts-based elementary school, I focus on project-based art and having students share their emotions through many creative outlets. My school is fully in person this school year. My school has over 90% who receive free and reduced lunch.
My Project
I have all products directly related to the differing physical differences in my classroom. I would like all of my students to be represented through the toys we play with and the books that we read. I think it is important for students to be able to see themselves in our class, and community. I also do have a student going through a change, and I think seeing book characters and toys living the same way they do would be empowering! I have also included general books about kindness that my whole class can benefit from!
