My Project
My students are loving learning all the fun and exciting phonics rules to learn to read. They are eager to put these skills to good use by reading enjoyable decodable books where they see these rules in print. Our classroom is filled with leveled readers, but is in need of decodable books. The decodable readers can reinforce the understanding of phonics rules. They provide the codes and skills that the students are learning in text. When students can take the strategies they are learning in isolation and apply them in the text they become successful readers!
