Photos Are Worth a Million Words!

My students need a photo printer and printing paper to see images of their hard work and to take them home to share.

My Students

I will be teaching a class of multicultural fourth graders that are a mixture of ELD, Special Needs, and Gifted students. They are eager students who are ready to learn and try their best.

Almost a third of our students come from low income families that cannot provide them with the resources they need to help give their children the best education possible.

These students are the ones on the free/reduced-price lunch list.

With the diverse students in my class, I always find myself modifying everything I teach.

My Project

As a 4th grade teacher, I am constantly taking photos of the children working hard in my classroom. I upload them to a website and the parents get to see them and that is about it. How great would it be if the children had a photo board in class? Or to have the opportunity to take home a picture they can cherish? I mean, who prints photos nowadays? We need to bring back photos that tell a million words.

We need a photo printer to show off all the amazing things going on in our classroom.

By displaying the children’s hard work and effort, we will motivate them to do something good to end up on our photo board. Children will also get the opportunity to take home the photos that will remind them of how awesome they were in 4th grade.
