My Students

I have been extremely fortunate to have already received a photo printer several years ago from Donors Choose. I have used it so often to print the photographs I take of the children in my Kindergarten class that...now I am out of ink. HELP!!!

So often the young children in my inner city, low-income school do not get the little perks in life that ordinary children might receive.

As their teacher I try to incorporate these moments that their parents are unable to provide into their life. Young children grow so quickly and it is always nice to have mementos of their cute, eager faces captured in a photograph.

My Project

Although teaching is my professional passion, photography is a passion I try to fulfill whenever the chance presents itself. My Kindergarten classroom is a haven of opportunity for me. I love documenting what we are doing in class or posing the children for a holiday photo. No matter what the scenario, the children absolutely LOVE having their photo taken. The ink I am requesting will allow me to continue this endeavor for the children and their families.

Another fabulous project the ink will support is a calendar the children create as an end-of-the-year gift.

Each month I take a class picture depicting something specific for that month. At the end of the year each child gets to put a color copy of that photo in a calendar. They then embellish their gift with their own art work that correlates to the month. This calendar allows the children and parents to remember all the great times spent in Kindergarten for years to come.
