I am a 28 year old teacher of a class of 28 bright, wonderful and lovable first grade kids. I have been teaching at my school for six years now. I am not from the area, but there is something special about the kids that go to my school, and I have become attached to them all. I truly feel that I can help them. My kids have so much to deal with before they even step foot in my classroom. If I don't take care of them here in class, who will? I would love to get a photocopy machine for my class. My school is extremely large (over 1,650 students) and we have only 2 copy machines to cover the whole school. I must ask permission to get anything copied, and it is rare that I am granted permission to copy anything for my class. This past school year, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to teach an accelerated class that is working far beyond their grade level. I need as many resources as possible to help skyrocket my kids as far as they can go. I would love to be able to photocopy reading logs, book reports, daily worksheets, as well as student work. Right now, I can not do any of the these. My kids are the ones who are missing out. My students and I would be incredibly grateful to receive a photocopy machine to aid in our learning. My kids are unbelievably motivated and I am eager to give them anything that I can. They are a great bunch of kids and they deserve it. A photocopy machine would greatly help our class.
