I teach a fourth grade gifted education class in a high need area in North Carolina. I teach all subjects with a concentration on higher level critical thinking.
Every year I have my students complete at least one project using digital cameras to explore the world around their school. Last year, I had three cameras available to use. Through a couple of accidents, I am now down to just one. I really want to continue to give my student this opportunity, but need the technology to make it work.
These cameras will allow my students to study the world through their own creative eye. Today's students need to have a better and better understanding of technology in order to be successful in today's society. I am trying to get them started down that path through the technology projects we will complete.
Your help will make it possible for my students to learn to take pictures, edit them, and post them to a website. It will make it possible for them to learn the important skills they'll need in this changing world.
