My Project
We have implemented a new phonics program based on the Science of Reading. The program recommends that each child have their own magnetic letters and magnetic white board to build words.
I have seen tremendous growth with my students this year, but unfortunately, I do not have enough magnetic letters for all my students, and I am not able to implement the program as it was intended.
Letter manipulatives are important because they give children a way to interact with the alphabet through hands-on play. They are able to feel the shape of the letter and arrange multiple letters to form letter strings or words.
