My Students
Every morning my students walk into our classroom, where I am usually playing Jazz. I find it helps them with their morning transition. My students are full of personality and energy. I tell my students that they are smarter than they think and they strive to meet that every day.
My students are Brooklyn’s finest.
They are full of potential and immensely talented. My students are always excited to learn, however they struggle the in most subjects. Every day they bravely come back to school and try again. Our school is a title one school where most student qualify for free lunch. The population is mostly African American with a small percent of Asian students.
My Project
My student struggle with phonemic awareness due to their learning disabilities. It has been my experience that students learn through hands-on experiences that are fun. My students need the Sound Switchin' Game, Can Do! Phonemic Awareness Game, and Phonics Instant Learning Centers to enhance their academic experience. The phonics games will allow my students to build and strengthen their phonemic awareness. Meanwhile, the phonics instant learning centers will scaffold the skills taught in class.
Phonics is the base that strengthens our reading skills.
My students need to able to read fluently. Reading will allow my students to feel confident and be successful in their academic careers. Please lend us a hand.
