Phonics, Numbers, and Neat Spaces

My Project

I work with some of the most hardworking and cheerful students you’ll ever meet. They come to school each day ready to try their best, even when learning is challenging.

My students range from kindergarten to second grade and have a variety of unique needs, including developmental delays, learning disabilities, autism, and visual impairments.

They benefit from hands-on learning, visual supports, sensory tools, and a structured, calm environment.

Every item in this project will help my students feel seen, supported, and excited to learn. The magnetic letters, letter chips, segmenting trays, and wands will help them build foundational phonics skills in a multisensory, engaging way. The counting manipulatives and ten-frame poppers will bring math to life and support both number sense and fine motor skills—plus, the kids love these activities and will be thrilled to see their favorite characters in the classroom.

The rainbow paper trays, magnetic dry-erase trays, and magazine holders will help keep our materials organized and easy for students to access independently. Many of my learners thrive when routines and visual systems are in place. The plastic storage drawers and bins will give us space to keep materials neat and reduce distractions.

The thermal laminator will help me protect learning tools that are used daily (and often chewed on or torn by students seeking sensory input). I will also be able to preserve student work for families to admire. The chewing necklaces will help students meet oral sensory input needs in a safe way.

Every piece will help create a supportive space that is functional, welcoming, and truly designed for the diverse learners I serve.
